Sequenced Inventory of Communication Development
Revised Edition
Dona Lea Hendrick, Elizabeth M. Prather, and Annette R. Tobin
The Sequenced Inventory of Communication Development (SICD) is a diagnostic test that evaluates the communication abilities of children with and without retardation who are functioning between 4 months and 4 years of age. It can be used in remedial programming of the young child with language disorders, mental retardation, and specific language problems. It has been used successfully with children with sensory impairments, and with children with varying degrees of retardation. In assessing the communication development of very young children, examiners face the challenge of maintaining the children’s cooperation. The objects in this kit are effective aids in obtaining information with the most efficient use of time.
Complete SICD Kit includes Instruction Manual and Test Manual, 25 Receptive Scales, 25 Expressive Scales, 4 Profiles, and objects for administration, all in a heavy plastic compartmentalized carrying case. (1984)
